 ACROSTIC POEMS

Laurie is from a fictional book called 'Little Women', written by Louisa May Alcott. Little Women has 73 pages and I borrowed this graded book at the library of UKSW. The book is about four sisters named Meg, Beth, Jo, and Amy and they have a new neighbour named Laurie. They're very happy that Laurie wants to be friends with them and play along whenever they want to play a game or just hang out with Laurie.

That boy named Laurie is a brave person, and he always helps the four sisters anytime they need help from Laurie. He just wants a normal life without college, but he doesn't want to go to college until Jo encouraged him because college is a great way of living in this life. I picked Laurie because he's just like my boy best friend when I was in elementary school. Laurie's character also has a great personality so that everyone can reach out to him anytime.

So, 'L' is for lively spirit because Laurie is always full of glee. 'A' is for adorable because Laurie looks truly fascinating and eye-catching. 'U' is for understanding because he always understands everyone's problems, is kind, and wise. 'R' is for radiant because Laurie is always radiant like the sunlit skies. 'I' is for inspirational because Jo always looks at him for inspiration for her stories. The last one is 'E' for energetic because he's full of energy from morning to night.

The second story is from Storyline Online, and it's called 'Maddi's Fridge,' written by Lois Brandt. The length of the video for 'Maddi's Fridge' is about 12 minutes. Maddi has a fridge, but it's only filled with milk and some bread. Then, Sofia wants to help Maddi by bringing food from her own fridge. I choose Sofia because I picked Maddi in the Thursday class before. On the other hand, Sofia is a kind person with good manners because she wants to help Maddi in her own way.

The reason behind my acrostic poem for Sofia is 'S' for soft-hearted because she is never angry and remains patient when climbing the climbing wall. 'O' is for outshining because she has a radiant face like the stars. 'F' is for friendly because I believe that Sofia has other friends, not just Maddi, as she genuinely enjoys helping others. 'I' is for Incredible because Sofia's action are very good when her friends need help. 'A' is for amazing because we can;t easily find a friend like Sofia who has a pure heart in friendship.
